  1. Here are some of my concert photos, taken from 2006 on. The URLs in copyrights totally need to be updated, because only that .com works. I have some more that I have not put online, such as those of Paradise Lost, Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Slash, The Cult, Faith no More and a bunch of locals. I'll eventually get around it. In the case of the below "model", it was hard to pick just one photo because he's great to take photos of, so I picked two... . . . . And because I know what you were hoping for...
  2. Ever since the forums have been added to the site in 2005, there were topics that were simply not fitting, opinions that were causing disagreements. Not to mention the number of great artwork not getting noticed in the Arts and Design forum, and the hours, days of excellent music in the musicians' subsection. Some things just never caught on and they probably should have, just in some form other than a message board topic. And some people prefer to read than post, as their ways of contributing to a community are different. Therefore, *drumroll*...Your Forum Is Glued to a Site on Fire has blogs now. Who can blog and how much? If you're a moderator, you can create up to three blogs. If you're an important contributor, you can create two. Members are eligible to create a single blog. Validating members, banned folk and guests cannot view the blogs section. If you would like to have a group blog on a specific topic with one or more board members, please let us know, supply names of your co-bloggers and we'll do our best to make this possible. What is there to blog about? Here are some examples: - You could share your music, as you're creating it. And comment on others' music. - You could share your poetry, prose, lyrics... - You could create a blog where you're fulfilling requests to tab particular songs and jams, identifying samples etc. - You could do everything that you were previously not allowed to in topics, as in, be a super-obsessed fan, sharing nothing but fan stories. - ...or fan art. - ...or collections. - . If also fails, you could be the everyday blogger type and share the usual stuff: photographs of your cat, recipes for your favourite meals, or whatever. So, how does one create a blog on here? Providing that you have validated your account and that you're logged in, it's pretty easy. Navigate to the blogs section in the main menu. Once there, click on the plain text link that reads Manage Blogs. Once the next page has been loaded, you will be provided with an option of creating a blog (unless you've reached your limit of blogs per member): On the next screen, all you have to do is check the box in order to accept some default and reasonable terms and conditions. After having accepted to conditions, you'll have to think of a name for your blog. A description is optional. After this step has been completed, your blog will be created. On the last screen, you'll be able to set some default options for your newly-created blog. And that's it. Really. All you have to do is go back to the step 2 and click on Add Entry. Happy blogging! Why should I blog on here? - It's a great way to get people to know you and interact with you. - It's a good blogging system for an absolute beginner. - Here you can blog about niche-specific stuff that potentially wouldn't interest anybody else, anywhere else. - More exposure for your work, duh. Will there be competitions and awards for bloggers? Yes, in the near future. For now, we're going with one featured blog entry for a period of time, until this takes off properly. Should you have questions and ideas related to the blog system - drop a line to the administrator.
  3. Apparently, the phenomenon of WH10 topics on this forum was acknowledged by a fellow member and we thought that's where it ends. Apparently, IBANEZ WERE AWARE OF IT, TOO. The product manager of Ibanez pedals and amps just wrote to me to let me know about the biggest news ever. WH10 is being reissued. So, yeah, if anyone's going to NAMM in Nashville, you'll get to see it before everyone else does! http://www.namm.org/summer-old (the whole NAMM site http://www.namm.org/)
  4. Thanks for the cover! Probably from the distributor's page, couldn't remember the URL.
  5. We're in a new place, y'all. :D

  6. Mine was finally shipped today! SO.HAPPY. This truly is THE album for a person on the crossroads in their early thirties.
  7. Do you have a question related to John and his music that you cannot find an answer to? Ask in this thread and somebody who knows will reply to you. Make sure you ask real questions - e.g. who was at some concert, what instrument is on that song, what shoes were those and so on. Not smoke-and-mirrors, what-if, coulda-woulda-shoulda type of questions. Those usually deserve their own threads and can't be responded to with a precise answer. Example question: "Was Jugband Blues played at the first solo show in London in 2001?" Do you want to respond to somebody else's question? Please, make sure you have the answer or anything that could help somebody else think of "ah, that's it!". Just like there should not be smoke-and-mirrors, what-if, coulda-woulda-shoulda type of questions, there should not be such answers. Example answer that solves the matter: "Yes, here is the setlist. http://invisible-movement.net/gig/2001-01-27 ." Acceptable answer that helps somebody else solve it: "Likely. That song was a staple of the TROWFTD tour." Unacceptable answers: Madonna has a song named Borderline. // This contributes to world peace and here is a random painting that reminds me of that show. Please, search the site and the board before you ask. Thank you.
  8. Water, you're looking for this: http://invisible-movement.net/2008/12/mike-piscitelli-talks-about-the-past-recedes-new-photo And this (NSFW!) This is not good to speculate, but I always wondered if he was a fellow grey-A.
  9. RULES: - Provide source and give credit, if applicable. Tell us where the image came from, if nothing else. - Do not post photos invading John's privacy. This includes but is not limited to photos scrapped from his relatives and friends' social networking profiles, photos taken in awkward situations without him knowing etc. We don't care how badly you have to see what he drunk, whom he was seen with etc - just don't do it. Do not post screencaps of such video clips, either. - If photos contain pubes, genitalia, backsides or breasts (female, not male) and do not violate the above rule (e.g. are show photos from 1990 or something), post them as links and add the note NSFW (Not Safe For Work). - Do not post photos from which you cropped off the copyright, if there was any. That's not nice. - Do not post photos of other people, unless it clearly is a joke of some sorts. Speaking of said jokes, keep them in good taste. - Please, NO ANIMATED GIFS of hearts, roses, teddy bears et cetera. - Similarly, make sure your comments are not outright raunchy and objectifying. For information of what restrictions one may face upon failure to understand the above, click here. Let's get this going - here are three pics from the Red Hot Chili Peppers official book.
  10. And the two recents, the square one also being from Linda's instagram, for John's birthday.
  11. Welcome to the forum, Lars. Have a look at this collection of screencaps: http://invisible-movement.net/v/index.php?/category/964

  13. I finally decided to put tabs on this website. If any of you musicians wants to help with this, please apply in this thread. I need people who know how to tab. :wub:/>
  14. Can't resurrect this particular thread. Hope you'll be OK. :/
  15. We have existed for a year and a half by the time they appeared and we were never on good terms. I'll spare you from details, but that website is not run ethically. And John should do what he wants. If he currently does not want to talk about "the band" and does not want to perform - fine. As long as he's creative, healthy and happy, he should not be a performance monkey in hands of some fat guys in suits who probably have their own ways of controlling fragile types. Music industry is evil and even though the small labels are full of minority-complex filled I KNOW A FAMOUS PERSON WOW types, at least there are no shackles of the LOOK LIKE THIS, PERFORM LIKE THIS, WE INVENTED THE STORY OF YOUR REDEMPTION AND USED YOUR BELIEFS AS MARKETING BUZZWORDS mafia. There is life without the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's just that people need something to belong to, something that is universally accepted, something to make a hobby, something they're constantly fed with and made believe that it's a matter of give and take. We're all about instant gratification. We "miss" people we never met, bands when they're not touring, we give strangers the lives we made up for them and in most cases, this fantasy has nothing to do with truth. And everybody knows that Mother Goat is the only true goddess. John can do nothing but accept to be canonised as a demigoat and join us cool kids. Then we can all play Goat Simulator. / foolosophy
  16. Could have been edited for clarity, too.
  17. For those who claim otherwise: the album has been mastered for vinyl.
  18. Esti, John has not done a solo show since June 2005. On his 2001 solo shows, he did some songs off Smile. 19. Other than the first two posts in the thread, the rest has barely anything to do with To Record Only Water For Ten Days, so how about we go back to the topic?
  20. And the photos of John looking happy in late 2015 or at any given time this year are kind of the best. There were not many of those from mid-2007 to 2014, when one thinks of it. When those two stupid pics from the premiere of Love popped up last November, he just looked...different. As if he woke up and could see again or something like that. Sorry for a stupid post. Reverting to my cold person shtick ASAP. Here are some pictures from what appears to be 1989. The source is this blog, though searching for the pages they were on yields no results.
  21. Welcome, Michelle. And whatdoyaknow, teh mod dude got there before me.
  22. Still didn't get the CD and the silver vinyl - too many cool things this year!
  23. Hey, welcome to the forum. - says the admin who was so obsessed with a totally random place that she forgot to look at it for a month The video is great in so many ways. I saw some people describe it as a result of what happens when running away from own transgressions, but for some reason, my first thought when I saw it was that it was about people turning their backs on you and doing something you don't expect them too, everybody leaving you when you need them most...but then again, I'm probably wrong, we tend to juxtapose things against our own experiences. What does everybody else think?
  24. Re, the photo with a fan lady above: those hashtags are so unfortunate. O_O I would instead put something like #goats and #cockatoos - would make more sense in 2016. YES. YES. YES. That's what hip kids are into, not the band. And then one'd have a lovely grid of related photos of Mollucans freaking out in agreement. Anyway, something that actually makes sense - the cover of Venice Magazine from September 1991. The other images can be found at this URL and some of them are NSFW: http://invisible-movement.net/v/magazines/1991/09venice
