  1. That is not from Excalibur.
  2. Foregrow Samples: Expre'act Samples: Loath Forgue Samples: Unf Samples:
  3. The beginning of Unending 126 mix is the sources of the vocals sampled in Roundtable Discussion. It looks like all the tracks now require payment on Bandcamp, as well. I bet they hit the limit for free downloads on the account and it automatically set a price for everything.
  4. Anyone know what the guitar chords are for that section?
  5. All three of the tracks John is featured on on Paper Gods are great songs to listen to and are definitely heightened by his contributions. I'd post some samples, but I figure someone would just take 'em immediately and post them to their YouTube channel.
  6. Finally finished this up. Final Signal Path: Fender MIM Stratocaster -> Polytune -> MXR Micro Amp -> Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Nano -> Wilson Effects Ten Spot II Wah -> Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Max Reverb -> Moog Moogerfooger 12-Stage Phaser -> Boss CE-3 Chorus -> Boss DD-3 Digital Delay -> Line 6 FM4 -> Fender Super Champ X2 Tube Amp.
  7. Ended up getting a quick afternoon gig allowing me to throw a few hundred more at this. Also adding a Polytune to the board.
  8. I might have to find a spot for a Moogerfooger MF-103 Phaser on there as well...
  9. Still a work in progress as I'm awaiting the arrival of a couple pedals still and the board has yet to be built, but current status: Right to left: MXR Micro Amp -> Wilson Effects Ten Spot II Wah -> Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Max Reverb -> Boss CE-3 Chorus -> Boss DD-3 Digital Delay -> Line 6 FM4. I'm still awaiting the arrival of an Electro-Harmonix Nano Big Muff Pi. I did have get a Big Muff Pi, but I didn't realize just how big it was going to be as I never saw one in person. So I sent that one back in favor of the Nano. I didn't plan on adding a FM4 to the build, but I was able to find a used one locally in very good condition for $109. I'm not sure if I want to get a Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion though. This weekend, I'm going to get the board all built. Adding velcro to all the slats so I can attach the pedals to the board, putting it up at an angle and, once it arrives, strapping a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ to the back to power everything.
  10. I felt comfortable with my original picks and ended up moving forward with them. My order for the Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion got cancelled because they didn't have any in-stock so I think I'm going to invest in a power brick instead for now and then get a DS-2 down the line. I'm actually in the process of getting a proper board setup to house all these pedals on with a power brick strapped underneath for easy storage. I have a Wilson Effects Ten Spot II wah pedal right now. It has a Ibanez WH10 sound but has superior pedal casing. Definitely has lasted longer than the WH10v2 I had before it. And I'm not on a super tight budget. The ~$500 budget would allow me to break even with the old pedals I'm currently selling. Going over budget a little bit isn't a big deal.
  11. Minor update: I found a good deal on eBay so I already purchased and have on the way a Boss CE-3.
  12. I'll definitely look into these other reverb pedals. Although John doesn't use a bunch of reverb, I use it all the time. I'm basically looking to nail down the essentials of the sound and then make my own tweaks to it. Nor does all the stuff I play have to have his type of sound either. I've tried the reverb built into the amp from time to time. It sounds pretty alright, but by running it through a pedal instead, I get a bit more in depth control over the sound.
  13. Alright, here is my current purchase list: Boss CE-3 Chorus - $65 (used)Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion - $65 (new)Boss DD-3 Digital Delay - $95 (used)Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi - $65 (new)Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Max Reverb - $159 (new)MXR Micro Amp - $80 (new)Any recommendations/changes before I start buying?
  14. I've decided that I'm going to sell off the majority of pedals that I own (a Line6 M13 and a bunch of inexpensive Behringer pedals) and start from scratch. That will leave me with a Fender MIM Stratocaster (with Seymour Duncan SSL-1 pickups), Fender Super Champ x2 tube amp and a Wilson Effects Ten Spot II wah pedal. If you had ~$500 to spend, what pedals would you buy to get the quintessential John Frusciante sound? (And yes, I know half the sound is what you play with your fingers, but what about the other half?)
