  1. Hi everyone, First off I'm really new to this so if I violate a code of conduct please let me know, but be nice. Like I say, new here. Anyway; to business. I like Dani California, while not only commercially successful obviously its a properly good jam, all thanks to John. However; I feel like sometimes the track is a tad over mixed. Don't get me wrong, I love the track how it is, however after hearing liver versions etc I can't help thinking sometimes the mix makes the guitars a tiny bit lifeless. Now obviously coming here and questioning the man himself is bad, so I'm not. I love the track. I don't want to start a big argument either about the best tracks etc; my question is simply this. There must have been a master track, a pre mixed recording of Dani California.... Infact I know there is as John has said about "before it was mixed" etc, as have the other 3. Anyway; I was wondering if anyone out there has any leads or could do some digging or suggest somewhere where one could find something like this. The idea came while I was listening to the Scar Tissue demo, which in some ways I prefer and anyway that thought sent my mind on a spiral and a lot of research until well.... Too late at night. Anyway I'd love to know of any leads, info, contacts anything anyone more experienced than me might have. Alas I don't really "know" many music people. Anyway if someone could help I'd be most grateful Mo Chara

Do you own any other special items related to this album? Have you seen the band on the By The Way Tour? How was it? Do you have any pics or video that you could share with us? Do you think this album will still be important 20, 25, 50 years from its release? Anything else you would like to add?
  8. After having been nominated for the second time - the first time for induction in 2010, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are to be inducted into Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. The results have been announced earlier today and the other inductees are Guns N' Roses Beastie Boys, the Small Faces/Faces, Donovan and Laura Nyro. Here's the official statement from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: The founding members of the band have already reacted to the news - Flea on his blog and Anthony Kiedis in an interview, and while Flea mentioned John by himself, Kiedis was asked about him by the interviewer. Here are the excerpts from what they said. Flea, on his blog: It also makes me think of something I think of everyday anyways. Of John Frusciante, the virtuoso musician and songwriter who gave so much to our band. Without him, we would not be going to the hall of fame. He wrote countless great things with us, played an infinite amount of stunning things, and taught us how to be a great band. He helped lift us to a much higher level, he is the greatest. We connected deeply for many years, and he left our band with many gifts. Read more: Anthony Kiedis, for Rolling Stone: Do you think that John Frusciante will come to the induction? Ummm... Wow. It would be a guess on my behalf on whether or not he'll come. I can't imagine that he would, but it's a "you never know" kind of thing. I haven't talked to him in quite a while. I don't know where he's at these days. He'll obviously be more than welcome, and embraced if he does. If he doesn't, that's cool too. Read more: If you're interested in going to Cleveland to see the induction on April 14th 2012, the tickets for the ceremony are 50 and 100$ each and you can find more information here:
